With unemployment being at an all time high due to Covid-19, people are scrambling to figure out how they're going to keep their head above water. Unemployment offices are swamped with claims and not enough hands to get them done at a faster rate to help Americans avoid evictions, starvation, etc. A lot of people who have been able to get through and get their unemployment claims approved have began to invest it in a future Business.

Secondly, Investing in Your Business will Provide Security and stability for your family. If something were to happen to you, your family would be already set up and able to continue Your business and strive in the long run. Plus, most likely your're like me, staying safe in the house, trying to avoid people while still having and maintaining a way to provide for my family.

Birthdays are our Favorite!

I've been so busy this year with birthdays and I'm still not done.  In the last 2 weeks I've celebrated my 2 years old bday and my 9 years old bday. And quite frankly, I'm exhausted😪

We went to Chuck E. Cheeses, beachside arcade, every Wal-Mart in town,  Dave and Busters,  and TGI Fridays. Had 2 successful birthday parties and we aren't even done yet.

We're going bowling tomorrow to close off this birthday weekend celebration. Then have to get ready for birthdays again in November and December.  Our oldest daughters are turning 16 and 17 so a lot of new adventures, for sure.

I mean 16 and 17 that's big,  they're already talking about a car😒😔 i know its a necessity but that's a lot of responsibility.  I'm not ready but I'm sure they are.  We'll see I'm not telling any surprises,  it's hard enough trying to keep things quiet.

So in the mean time in between time I'm going to focus on finding a more comfortable position to tandem nurse my 6 month old and 2 years old. I had my 2 y/o down to about 1 time a day before baby came and guess what!? Once he got here she felt the need to nurse 3-5 times a day.

Awwww man I never imagined breastfeeding literally 20 times a day.  Talk about staying hydrated.  The more I drink helps with milk production and keeps me going throughout the day! I love it,  because I know my children are getting the BEST!

Again, if you'd like anything in particular discussed just comment or message me.  Thanks for the support... until next time!

Welcome Back!

So it's been a while since my last post and I've decided there's always room for improvement. Please stay tuned to upcoming posts and events!. I'm the mom of 6 beautiful children, so I'll be sharing plenty of stories,  advice,  resources, etc.

If there's anything you'd like discussed please feel free to comment or message me anytime.  I usually respond between 5 minutes and a few hours. Stay amazing!

The Difference Between Hearing and Listening in Kids – And What Parents Can Do!

Omg, I do not know why you tell a kid something, they hear you,  look you in the face, repeat what you said and still not do what you said.

My 6 year old daughter has actually started questioning everything I say.  I'll say something like, "Boobie (nickname) go get mama some socks please,"  and she'll look at me,  and say "go get you some socks Mommy,  okay." But guess what she still will get sidetracked  and go do something else and then say, "mommy why are you grumpy? "

When you're a patient parent like myself you say , "oh no sweetie,  your listening ears were not listening but I'm going to slow things down and give you another chance to show how much of a big girl you are. "

But sometimes I want to say,  "I know you heard me girl,  please go do what I said and don't ask me that silly question.

To be a parent you have to be understanding,  loving,  patient,  caring,  and watch the real responses that may slip out from time to time.

My son,  11 months has definitely got this down pat.  He knows what"no"and "aah aah" mean, but guess what... he always looks at me,  smile and move forward with his non listening ears.  But he's still young and takes More patience. I wouldn't change being a mommy for nothing in the world. What's your thoughts?

Breastfeeding again?

Hello all and I'm back from my loooong break.

Today I will be discussing some pros and cons of breastfeeding, because lately I've been going through some things.

Pros: helps uterus shrink thus making you lose weight at a rapid pace.
*While breastfeeding my daughter I lost 27 lbs in just 9 days.*

Studies have suggested that it reduces a woman's chances of  developing breast cancer.

Most of all it increases the bonding between mother and child.

Cons: cracked nipples... ahhh, the most painful thing in such a sensitive area.

Right after giving birth there will be uterine contractions that feel like your insides will fall out. Sorry if tmi...

Once your  little bean gets teeth you'll get bitten on a regular. Remember you're a 24 hour Buffet for your  little one. Lol

Now my reason why for this post is not to scare you away from breastfeeding but it is too make the new breastfeeding mom aware that it's not going to be baby rainbows and  unicorns. I'm currently  expecting my third child and have a 6 year old daughter that I breastfed for 2 and a half years and I'm  currently breastfeeding my 10 month old son. So i have much experience.

Good  luck to breastfeeding moms and congratulations may your journey be better than mine.

If you have Any questions or like to see something specific on my blog please feel free to comment below anytime.

Update: I now have 5 children that have been breastfed and my 5th one will be 5 in July and I have yet to come up with a way to tell her no. ugh

It's never too early...

Since my baby was in the uterus, my spouse and I has been reading her books, and saying the abc's to her. So once she came out she already was familiar with them.

Since she was born I have been singing her songs in english and spanish by one she was saying her numbers 1-10 and abcs in english and spanish and when she turned 7 months I began signing with her. All of this helped us communicate and had her speaking early.

Point is that it is never too early to teach your child anything you want them to know. They are very eager to learn as a baby after all they are new to the world.

I am my daughters first teacher, and I want her to be smart and master it all.

She loves to listen to stories and she has been recognizing words since she was about 20 months old.

Super smart if you ask me.

To spank or not to spank?

Have you ever been in a store and your child decided he/she wants to throw a tantrum?

Have you been in a doctors office and you tell your child to sit down and he/she says "no!"

These are "red face" moments for the parents. I have been there and done that. My daughter just turned 2 and she just started this tantrum stuff.

She knows asl (american sign language) so that definitely cut down her tantrums but somehow they snuck in and she gives me a really hard time sometimes.

Now when I was growing up I didn't get much spankings but as I got older like 10-11 I began getting something worse.

I was abused.

and once I became an adult I ask the person why was this done and she (the person who abused me) told me because she was angry from when she was abused by her dad, and exhusband.

Any kind of abuse is wrong but I didn't want to be like her.

So now i refuse to hit my child because I do not believe that is the answer. I do not want to be hitting her until it becomes abuse or even until i begin to have flash backs of me going through that.

No spanking!
I love my daughter too much to spank her in any way she's still learning and I think parents should have self-control.

Plus, us as parents teach our kids at an early age that hitting is unexceptable.

So why would it be alright for me to hit her because she hits or does anything wrong.

exactly!

Everyone has their reasons on why they think that spanking is or is not ok.

goodluck parents, because...
