Have you ever been in a store and your child decided he/she wants to throw a tantrum?
Have you been in a doctors office and you tell your child to sit down and he/she says "no!"
These are "red face" moments for the parents. I have been there and done that. My daughter just turned 2 and she just started this tantrum stuff.
She knows asl (american sign language) so that definitely cut down her tantrums but somehow they snuck in and she gives me a really hard time sometimes.
Now when I was growing up I didn't get much spankings but as I got older like 10-11 I began getting something worse.
I was abused.
and once I became an adult I ask the person why was this done and she (the person who abused me) told me because she was angry from when she was abused by her dad, and exhusband.
Any kind of abuse is wrong but I didn't want to be like her.
So now i refuse to hit my child because I do not believe that is the answer. I do not want to be hitting her until it becomes abuse or even until i begin to have flash backs of me going through that.
No spanking!
I love my daughter too much to spank her in any way she's still learning and I think parents should have self-control.
Plus, us as parents teach our kids at an early age that hitting is unexceptable.
So why would it be alright for me to hit her because she hits or does anything wrong.
exactly!
Everyone has their reasons on why they think that spanking is or is not ok.
goodluck parents, because...
imamommytoo!
