Why do they do that?

Omg, I do not know why you tell a kid something, they hear you,  look you in the face, repeat what you said and still not do what you said.

My 6 year old daughter has actually started questioning everything I say.  I'll say something like, "Boobie (nickname) go get mama some socks please,"  and she'll look at me,  and say "go get you some socks Mommy,  okay." But guess what she still will get sidetracked  and go do something else and then say, "mommy why are you grumpy? "

When you're a patient parent like myself you say , "oh no sweetie,  your listening ears were not listening but I'm going to slow things down and give you another chance to show how much of a big girl you are. "

But sometimes I want to say,  "I know you heard me girl,  please go do what I said and don't ask me that silly question.

To be a parent you have to be understanding,  loving,  patient,  caring,  and watch the real responses that may slip out from time to time.

My son,  11 months has definitely got this down pat.  He knows what"no"and "aah aah" mean, but guess what... he always looks at me,  smile and move forward with his non listening ears.  But he's still young and takes More patience. I wouldn't change being a mommy for nothing in the world.

Breastfeeding again?

Hello all and I'm back from my loooong break.

Today I will be discussing some pros and cons of breastfeeding, because lately I've been going through some things.

Pros: helps uterus shrink thus making you lose weight at a rapid pace.
*While breastfeeding my daughter I lost 27 lbs in just 9 days.*

Studies have suggested that it reduces a woman's chances of  developing breast cancer.

Most of all it increases the bonding between mother and child.

Cons: cracked nipples... ahhh, the most painful thing in such a sensitive area.

Right after giving birth there will be uterine contractions that feel like your insiders will fall out. Sorry if tmi...

Once your  little bean gets teeth you'll get bitten on a regular. Remember you're a 24 hour Buffett for your  little one. Lol

Now my reason why for this post is not to scare you away from breastfeeding but it is too make the new breastfeeding mom aware that it's not going to be baby rainbows and  unicorns. I'm currently  expecting my third child and have a 6 year old daughter that I breastfed for 2 and a half years and I'm  currently breastfeeding my 10 month old son. So i have much experience.

Good  luck to breastfeeding moms and     congratulations may your journey be better than mine.
